
Today, the rector of the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, Valentyna Yakubiv, took part in the program “New View” on RAI TV with Andriy Rusyniak.
They discussed the university’s mission in wartime, development directions, science, international cooperation, and the role of higher education in the reconstruction of the country.
The rector emphasized that the university trains specialists with solid knowledge and civic stance who, after the victory, will work on the restoration of Ukraine. Special attention is paid to the development of scientific areas, in particular in the natural sciences, which are important for the future of the state.
Carpathian University demonstrates results in international rankings and actively attracts grant and extrabudgetary funding for research.
The university is expanding cooperation with foreign institutions and scientific organizations, providing students and faculty with academic mobility and joint projects.
An important component of the activity is support for the military, including volunteer and moral assistance.
Modern challenges of higher education were also considered: youth outflow, updating educational programs in accordance with the labor market, digitalization, and cooperation with communities and business.
